"I love going to my local Mecca club and try to get there once or twice a month, however being a single parent I need to hire a babysitter and a night out can end up being quite expensive, so I don't get to go out much. Announced via a live prize draw in our most popular chat room on Friday 28th August, XNIKKIS_HUBBYX won this amazing prize as part of our month long House Bingo promotion in which all customers were given the chance to enter into the draw simply by playing a game of House Bingo throughout August.

Bingo Dave met our luckiest winner at the SAS Radisson hotel, Manchester to present the cheque and find out her fantastic story.

“I was at home playing on Mecca while my husband was watching the television. I had been playing the Clover Rollover for several weeks trying to win the jackpot. I must have blinked as I didn’t see the clovers roll in, the screen just started flashing and music was playing and a sign came up saying I had won the progressive jackpot. I just shouted “I’ve won, I’ve won!” My husband came in from watching the television and didn’t know what I was talking about as he didn’t even know I was playing. He looked at the screen and we both couldn’t believe it. We still can’t, it’s amazing. We even took a picture of the screen. Belle08 Is The Luckiest Lady Of Them All!

 

Congratulations to recent Lucky Ladies 88 Jackpot winner BELLE08. BELLE08 won a massive £111,967.08 on the 3rd April 2009. BELLE08 only staked £1.80 on this particular slot game and was overjoyed when the Lucky Ladies came in!

To celebrate her big win and to find out how she felt winning such a large sum of money we put Bingo Dave on the case.

As with all big winners, BELLE08 came down to London for the weekend and had her GIANT cheque presented to her by Bingo Dave. She then gave us her story:

"I was at home in the evening sitting in my pyjamas when the reels came in. I didn't quite realise at first. There then popped up a message saying to contact Customer Support. I had to ring them up to make sure it was true!"

"At first I thought I had only won £1000 or so. I felt like I had a stroke when I saw that I had won that much, I felt poorly. I couldn't believe it! I was at home on my own and just said 'oh my god' I wanted to tell my partner who was on his way home from work but couldn't get hold of him. So I phoned my sister and said 'I have got some good news'...she couldn't believe it."

"When I told my partner he said 'what a load of rubbish, I wont believe it till it's in the account' I had to call Customer Services to tell him that I had won I said 'will you tell him I have won the money'!"

"Funnily enough I was at work during the day and I told a guy at work 'I feel really lucky today' I think I might go to bingo' Anyhow I didn't go but I decided to play online instead."

BELLE08 who is also a member of Mecca Bradford continued "I actually got a £5 voucher for my birthday put in another £20 and then had the win! I was just so shocked"

Sarah Bartin Crowned Mecca Bingo Buddy of the Year 2009

 

Sarah Bartin from Exeter has been crowned the Mecca Bingo Buddy of the Year 2009 by popular ITV Loose Women panellist, Jane McDonald. To add to the coveted title, Sarah has also won an all expenses paid shopping trip to New York for herself and Hayley who nominated her.

Sarah was voted the winner by the panel of judges who were impressed with her selfless attitude to supporting her sister, who is also her best friend. Nominated by Hayley, Sarah has provided her with a wealth of support since she was first diagnosed with cancer at a young age, and Sarah has stood by Hayley through her treatment - making sure that she keeps her spirits up, and encouraging Hayley to join her at their local Mecca bingo.

Commenting on her win, Sarah said, "I am over the moon that I was chosen as the winner. I am stunned and shocked! I didn't think I stood a chance as my friendship and support to Hayley is what anyone in a similar position would and should do. I am overjoyed at the prospect of going to New York".

£75,000 Mecca Mega Ball Winner!

 

Congratulations to Mecca Mega Ball Winner beverlyt who won a Giant £75,587.73 by calling bingo in only 30 calls. beverleyt won the massive amount on Sunday 19th October 2008 and had only been a member of Mecca Bingo Online for less than a week! And what makes this story even more amazing is that she didn't know she had won until she got the call from Bingo Dave!!!

To congratulate beverleyt on her prize we put her up in a posh London hotel and treated her and her partner to a top London show. Whilst down in London she met Bingo Dave and told him her fantastic story:

"I decided to go on to Mecca Bingo online because it was a cold day and I didn't fancy going out to the club, so my daughter helped me register an account. I started to play and was thrilled when I won the two lines and full house I then logged off and carried on as normal, visiting my sister in the evening then going to work the next day.

At work I told all my friends that I had won £65 and I was over the moon. I then came home from work and was starting to relax when the phone rang. I got the call from Bingo Dave congratulating me on winning £75,587.73!! I actually had to ask my partner to come to the phone as I could not believe what I was hearing. I spoke to Dave again and still didn't believe what was going on. I then got my daughter to log on to my account to check my account balance to see if this was true. Once I noticed it was true I was jumping up and down with my daughter and sent someone out to by a few bottles of wine!

beverleyt, who is a member of Mecca Hartlepool plans to invest most of the money wisely and take a nice holiday, she said: "At the moment I'm investing a lot of the money wisely until we decide what we want to do. We may pay off the mortgage or we may buy a premise for our daughter who is a qualified hair dresser so she can start her own business.

We would also like a holiday with our five year old daughter, a new TV and possibly a new conservatory. I can't thank you enough for a great trip to London and my fantastic win"
