Hi there and welcome to this week’s fun and fabulous Mecca Bingo celebrity column, where you can read some views and thoughts on the latest celeb happenings before playing bingo online for cash and top bingo prizes. Glamour model and magazine favourite Katie Price, or is it Jordan again this week – we can’t keep up, is pregnant with her third child and her second to hubbie Peter Andre. The silicone enhanced pin-up and the one time teen heart throb met on reality TV show I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! in 2004 and the ensuing relationship and marriage has done wonders for their careers (especially Peter’s it has to be said), after all – two celebrities is better than one! Three short years, one baby and one tack-tastic wedding and OK! Magazine deal later, the couple are still enjoying the tabloid limelight. As well as expecting their second child together (Jordan’s first son, Harvey, is the result of a previous relationship with footballer Dwight Yorke), the couple are set to conquer the States (well, that’s what they hope anyway) with US entertainment channel E! commissioning their “fly-on-the-wall” show Katie and Peter: Next Chapter.  In the meantime, Katie is due to give birth this summer and is experiencing some interesting pregnancy cravings. According to Pete, she has taken to munching on ice cubes during this pregnancy: "I admit the ice cube thing is pretty weird but it's only water, so she's not going to come to any harm” said Pete in his New Magazine column recently. And with cravings like that, Katie’s not going to have to worry about losing her skinny size 6 figure after giving birth any time soon.

One celeb who’s experiencing pregnancy cravings of a somewhat more tasty kind is another former I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! contestant, Myleene Klass. Ex Hearsay singer and all-round nice girl Myleene is pregnant with her first child, to fiancé Graham Quinn, and has been feeling the love for cookies, cheese and chips – sounds good to us! Her indulgence in these cravings has reportedly led to the sexy star jumping from a dress size 8 to a 14 in not much more than a matter of weeks. But hey, if you can’t treat yourself when you’re “eating for two” then when can you? And we reckon that after living off the most basic of rations in the jungle, she deserves to let loose a bit. Sounds more fun than munching on ice cubes anyway… 

Another star who’s due to pop one out shortly is the ever likeable singer-turned-presenter Charlotte Church. Young Charlotte is also pregnant with her first child, to perma-tanned, slick-haired fiancé and fellow Welsh native, Rugby player Gavin Henson. Although only 21, Charlotte is certainly in the financial position to support a child and her relationship with Gav seems more secure than her previous dalliances. The key seems to be that, this time, she picked a fellow celeb (famous in Wales and amongst sports fans at least) with his own fortune, making him much less likely to cash in on Charl by selling salacious sex stories following a bust-up, as her previous fellas did. The two are due to marry imminently, but whether the wedding will take place before or after the birth remains to be seen. News of Charlotte’s pregnancy cravings has not reached the Mecca Bingo celeb columnist’s ears as yet but, with what we know of Charl, we reckon she’s more likely to follow the Myleene style of pregnancy diet, rather than the Jordan ice-munching tack. One of her most frequently quoted comments is: “I just love food and hate the gym, and it seems to be a pretty curvy combination”. And it’s that kind of attitude that has endeared so many of us to her.

Unlike Charlotte, not all this month’s expecting celebs are looking forward to a cosy future with the father of their baby unfortunately. Former Spice Girl Mel B is pregnant following a short-lived relationship with A-list Hollywood actor and “funny” man (well, have you seen the trailers for Norbit??) Eddie Murphy. But Eddie doesn’t seem too keen to accept responsibility just yet, having questioned the paternity of the baby by saying: "I don't know whose child that is until it comes out and has a blood test." Mel responded by saying: "I was astonished at what Eddie said - there is absolutely no question that Eddie is the father." So it looks like a blood test is on the cards for Mel’s second child when it makes its appearance.

This is not the first time that a celeb baby has been the subject of some paternal dispute however. When Elizabeth Hurley was pregnant with son Damien, millionaire American real estate magnate Steve Bing filed a lawsuit to disprove his paternity of her child and later a DNA test was carried out. He could have saved himself the time and hassle and just taken Liz’s word for it – little Damien is the spitting image of his father, backing up the DNA test beyond doubt. Tennis ace Boris Becker suffered similar public derision when his child to Russian-African waitress Angela Ermakova was born. Although Becker at first strenuously denied paternity, DNA tests, along with the fact the baby turned out to look the very image of her fair-haired dad and nothing like her Mum, left Becker with no choice but to accept responsibility.  Let’s hope things work out well for all our celebrity Mums to be and that Eddie ends up with egg on his face. Well, he deserves a reality check after dumping the singer on television rather than to her face. Here’s hoping Mel drains him for all he’s worth and makes him regret treating the potential mother of his child so disgracefully!
