Celebrity Reunion SpecialIt’s time once again for another fantastic Mecca Bingo celebrity column. Every week we’ll bring you the very best news and gossip on your favourite stars, so you can get your fix of celebrity news before playing bingo online for your chance to win big jackpots. Everyone’s getting back together this week, so we’re looking at celebrities who have forgiven, forgotten and made up. First up is Irish boy-band manager Louis Walsh. After he was fired at the end of the last X-Factor series, Louis finally patched up his differences with Simon Cowell and will be back to argue with him and fellow judge Sharon Osbourne in the next series. Somehow it wouldn’t have been the same without Louis putting the token X-Factor ‘granny’ through just to annoy everyone. We are also hearing some strong rumours that the Spice Girls, all five of them, are back in the studio recording a new single to be released in time for their reunion tour. Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell have finally patched up their differences and are planning once again to spread Girl Power, but what about poor old David Beckham? No sooner has Becks moved over to America than his wife announces she’s doing some globetrotting of her own. Still, at least we may finally see an end to the girls’ respective solo careers! The Spice Girls originally formed in 1994 (13 years ago!) and have sold over 35million records. It remains to be seen whether they’ll enjoy a triumphant return to the music biz like Take That, or whether they’ll go out with a whimper like East 17 and their ill-fated reunion. One band definitely enjoying their return to former glory is rock three-piece The Police. Sting and co are enjoying record ticket sales, with touts selling them online for many times their original value and the gigs themselves selling out in minutes. After a 25 year career in the music industry, we’re not quite sure how much more cash Sting needs - maybe he can use it to buy some more shirts! Another comeback that looks like paying off is that of Paris Hilton. Due to be released from jail this week after serving time for a drink-driving offence, the socialite heiress has reportedly landed a $1m contract with television network NBC for her first post-jail interview. We’re not quite sure that she’ll even notice the extra $1m though, especially when she stands to inherit her father’s Hilton hotel empire. Still, at least she’s earning her own money for a change! That’s all for this week, but you too could be living like Paris Hilton if you play online bingo here at Mecca Bingo and win one of our fantastic jackpots. You can play all your favourite online bingo games right here and be sure to tune in next week for another all-action celeb column. |
