Sad news this month in the Celeb Splits Department is the break up of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillipe who seemed a solid couple and, let’s face it, looked so cute together. The couple have two children (equally as blonde and angelic looking) and it appears so far that messy custody battles will not be on the agenda. A slightly different case this one, as of course both parties have successful careers in their own right and neither are strapped for cash. Reese may enjoy a slightly more high-profile status, due in part to the commercial success of crowd-pleasing films such as the Legally Blonde movies, but Ryan is hardly a struggling jobbing-actor. Hopefully any accusations of money-grabbing and the like will be avoided with this split, instigated by Reese who citied... wait for it... you guessed it: irreconcilable differences.

A quick mention to Nicole Kidman who’s having a bit of a hard time of it now that her new hubbie Keith Urban has taken a trip into rehab for alcohol addiction. Might not be too much of a surprise considering he was admitted into rehab in 1998 for the same problem, plus a crack cocaine addiction, but she’s standing by her man.

Another woman standing by her man is of course Kate Moss. But I for one have read just about enough of moon-faced Pete Doherty and his crazy escapades with hard drugs and photographers (and more drugs) so we’ll leave that there for now. After all, they’ll be in the papers again next month so I can update you then.
