A Spot of Déjà Vu

Troubled pop star Amy Winehouse is first on our celebrity radar this month. The ‘Rehab’ singer’s management want to fill the streets with lookalikes to fool paparazzi photographers. With Winehouse suffering very public personal problems over the past few months, her management want to take some of the heat off – a similar technique was used by supermodel Kate Moss after her well documented problems with drugs a while back.

Bosses believe the intense media spotlight has led the 23-year old on a journey of parties and excess in a bid to forget about being constantly followed by photographers. While her famous beehive hairdo usually made her stand out from the crowd, Winehouse might be a little bit harder to spot if her management can convince enough people to get some ‘interesting’ tattoos and fake eyelashes.

Staying with body doubles and it seems that another troubled star, pop princess Britney Spears, has also been getting in on the act. Sources close to the star say that the super-toned body seen in the advert for her Elizabeth Arden perfume ‘Believe’ is not actually her own.

Britney’s weight has yo-yoed since the birth of her youngest son, Jayden James, last year, and our spies tell us that her head has been superimposed onto a model’s body for the upcoming ad. Britney, 25, apparently only stayed at the shoot long enough to have pictures of her face taken - leaving advert bosses looking for an alternative when it came to the body shots.

Up stepped Britney’s stylist Kylie Cavaco, who promptly took her chance, climbed into Britney’s clothes and finished the advert shoot. Nice going girl!

Earlier this year, new Bond Daniel Craig hired two body doubles to escape from over-zealous fans at the Oscars. One fan in particular has reportedly been stalking the actor every time he is in America.  But instead of using some fancy smokescreen or high-tech Bond gadget, dashing Daniel used two lookalikes as a distraction so he could slip in the back door.

The obsessed fan, from New Orleans, has allegedly threatened to handcuff herself to Craig if she can get close enough. Strange behaviour, but then who wouldn’t want to be handcuffed to James Bond!?!

Finally, a cheeky story involving actor Luke Wilson. The star of My Super Ex-Girlfriend (alongside Uma Thurman) had a little help in the derrière department. The film’s director decided that Wilson’s bum was a bit out of shape, so they hired a professional bottom double (what a job!) to film a brief (ho, ho) nude scene. If any of our bingo players are particularly proud of their bottoms, you could earn over $500 for an eight-hour filming day!
