It’s time to put those bingo dabbers away (well for a few minutes at least) as we bring you another edition of our fine Mecca Bingo Celebrity Column. Each week, we bring you the very best news about your favourite and least favourite celebs; giving you the lowdown before you get back to playing for big bingo jackpots. This week we’re looking at some of the latest pop revivals on the horizon.

Word reaches us that the Spice Girls new single will be called ‘Headlines’. Whilst not exactly the most original or striking song title ever, our money is on it going straight to the top of the charts, as nostalgic fans and a new legion of girl power fans snap it up.

Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell let the title slip while being interviewed on GMTV, and with a Greatest Hits compilation out in November, you can bet that ‘Headlines’ will be coming out just before. Asked about the song, Geri replied modestly: "It's a Spice Girl classic. We are so proud of it. We started putting words down before we even had the finalised yes from everyone.”

More good news for Ginger and Co, after the Spice Girls comeback tour sold out in under 40 seconds! We’ve never quite understood how that works – do you have to talk really fast when you ring up to book tickets? The Spice Girls will be laughing all the way to the bank though, after it was revealed that crinkly rockers the Rolling Stones made £500m from their last tour. While the Spice Girls probably won’t get anywhere near this figure, you can bet they’ll make a few quid to see them through the winter months. Maybe Scary Spice could buy some new dancing shoes!

More music comeback now and it seems that even after years of living it up in LA, numerous TV appearances and a few quid in the bank from property deals, Sex Pistols frontman Johnny (Rotten) Lydon still has beef with the Queen and Monarchy and doesn’t regret writing his infamous song ‘God Save the Queen’. The Sex Pistols are back together for a comeback tour too, and we’d really love to see them opening for the Spice Girls.
  
On to other news now and cheeky X-Factor pop star Chico has penned another classic to go alongside ‘It’s Chico Time’. After overhearing schoolgirls claiming they wanted to look like size-zero models, Chico has struck a blow for curvy women everywhere with this new single ‘Curvy Cola Bottle Body’. The former stripper, who claims his current girlfriend is a healthy size 12, even hand picked some curvy ladies to dance alongside him in the video for the song. We’re hoping Enrique, Justin, and Shayne follow suit and start auditioning for curvy girls of their own (we know where they’ll find a few)!

Ahem...on to serious news now, and ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ singer Sinead O’Connor has spoken of her relief after being diagnosed with dipolar disorder – a more severe form of depression. The Irish singer, who tried to commit suicide on her birthday in 2000, told chat show Queen Oprah Winfrey that she had returned ‘from despair’. Good for you Sinead!
