What are Friends For?

We love to play bingo as well as bring you news of the lives of the rich and famous, and this week we’ve been hearing about some positively saintly behavior, and as usual some less friendly encounters.

Staying friends with an ex is hard enough without both of you being famous. But tough guy Bruce Willis and ex-wife Demi Moore have managed it, despite both admitting it was very hard.

The problems really came when Demi found herself a new (and much younger) husband, teen pin up Ashton Kutcher. We’re told they have all had to put in lots of effort but happily Moore and Willis have succeeded in staying close. Which is a nice change to most celebrity divorces!

You can’t help but love him, and Johnny Depp has been building up the brownie points this week. He’s donated a million pounds to the St Ormond Street hospital which treated his seriously ill daughter last year. He also proved his good-guy status by showing up in complete Captain Jack attire to read to the kids there last November. The only way most of us would have that kind of money to donate would be by winning a big bingo prize!

Supermodel Kate Moss and Sadie Frost have a very public friendship. Sadie is godmother to Kate’s daughter so you’d think she’d make the effort to be at her birthday party. But apparently not and it’s caused a bit of friction to say the least. It sounds more like an argument between pre-teens but actress Sadie decided she’s rather hang out with other people than help Kate celebrate her 34th this week. Could this spell the end of a beautiful friendship?

Coldplay front man took the protective husband role a bit far this week, attacking a photographer who congratulated him whilst leaving a hospital with his wife Gwyneth Paltrow. The ‘Shakespeare in Love’ actress had reportedly been in the maternity ward at the hospital so rumours are flying that she is pregnant with their third child.

The musician’s quick temper has got him into trouble with the press before. This time he was quick to be violent, grabbing a camera and yelling at the photographer. Not quite the sedate trip home Gwyneth was hoping for I shouldn’t think!
