Celebrity Big Brother returned last year with a vengeance and with some highly entertaining twists. The biggest of which was that one of the celebrities was not, in fact, a celebrity at all. You would be forgiven for asking which one, with the likes of Traci Bingham, Faria Alam, Maggot and Preston (at the time a niche celeb at best) making up the numbers under the slightly dubious tag of “celebrity”. But we are of course referring to Chantelle; a genuine non-celeb who went on to win the show and become such a genuine celebrity that no surname is needed! Chantelle and Preston went on to marry, with the obligatory OK! Magazine deal cementing their status as a celebrity couple of the moment.

Love was in the air for Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan, who got back together with old flame Michael Bolton. Love wasn’t in the air for other celebrity couples however, with David “The Hoff” Hasselhoff splitting from his wife of sixteen years, Pamela Bach, as well as Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards heading for splitsville, along with Oscar winner Hilary Swank splitting from hubby Chad Lowe (actor and brother of Rob Lowe).
