The lucky winner, who does not want to be named, was at the Mecca Club in the High Street, Brierley Hill on Saturday, 14 July when good fortune struck. He shared the National Bingo Game prize of £100,000 with four other winners in Kent, Edinburgh, Birmingham & Northumberland, who also completed a full house in 45 numbers the lowest call in any of the 500 clubs playing nationwide. The teenager, who is currently on a gap year, lives in the Merry Hill area. He plays bingo twice a week and says that he has been very lucky since he started. “I usually seem to win something even if it is a small prize, but this is my first really big win.” He normally goes to bingo with his mother and says that when it was announced that he had won, he started crying with joy, and she jumped over the table to him. Asked what he will do with the money, he said that he will be sharing with his mum, taking a holiday and having driving lessons. |
