Mecca Bingo Sheffield Penistone Road is also supporting the initiative by hosting a charity game on Friday 21 June. Calling the shots on the day and helping to raise much needed funds were DJs from Hallam FM, who included Dave Kilner, Big John and Vicky Larder. Mecca Bingo customers were asked to show their support for Help a Hallam Child, by making donations in exchange for charity bingo tickets. All the prizes on offer were donated by the clubs. Every penny raised by the five bingo clubs will be put back into region, to help local children and schools. Commenting on the special charity bingo games, Debbie Coy, operations manager at Mecca Sheffield Flat Street said: "We are delighted that so many customers and employees rallied together to support this local cause. I also want to say a big thank you to all the Hallam FM DJs who really got on board to help make it such a special occasion!" Help a Hallam Child was formed in 1970 and has raised millions to help children who are sick or live in situations of abuse, neglect or deprivation. |
