The Italian Job

Italian Job is a virtual racing game in which you win money by betting on the winning driver.

How to Play

The first time you connect, you'll be asked to input your Mecca account username and password, and then to set a mobile PIN for fast access in the future. The PIN is secure - and not even stored on the mobile so even if your phone is lost or stolen your account cannot be accessed.

Playing The Italian Job

You can request a new lineup before placing any bets if you wish by selecting the 'New Race' button. You must be on at least one of the drivers with their odds. Press'*' to see the names of each driver on the racecard. To place a bet, use the up/down control or joystick to scroll through the drivers; use left/right to decrease/increase yor stake on the highlighted car or use the keypad numbers to enter the amount (0 clears a highlit bet). When you are happy with your bets, press 'fire' or scroll down and select the 'Start Race' button. Once you have placed your bets and started the race you cannot change the bets. No money is deducted from your account until you place the bet. The race starts when the doors of the bullion van are blown off and during the race the driver/s you've backed have gold bars next to their number/s. If you can't stand the suspense and simply want to see the end of the race press 'zero'. Each race ends with a single winner. There are no split decisions. At the endo fo each race, select 'Race Again' to place the same bets on the same lineup, or 'New Race' to clear the field and get a new lineup. You can also replay the last race you bet on in the game menu under 'Replay'.

Paytable

Each line-up consists of six randomly selected drivers from a team of 26. The odds offered on the drivers in every race reflect the probability of each car winning, rounded to a single decimal point, with an expected return to player of 90%. The return on a winning bet is the quoted odds times your stake, to the nearest penny. The lower the odds offered, the more likely a driver is to win relative to the others, although the outcome is the result of a purely random selection. If you have a winning be, you will be returned the amount of your stake times the odds quoted on the winning driver when you place your bet. For example, if you bet £1 at odds of 5.5, your will be returned a total of £5.50 if your bet wins. You will lose stakes placed on any drivers which you do not win. You can bet a minimum of 50p up to the value of your current blanace to a maximum of £100.00 per race.
