What is Mecca Star?

Mecca star is back! the biggest and most exciting bingo singing talent show on the block. Mecca Bingo are on the lookout for the Mecca Star of 2019. Watch the webisodes above to see what our talented roomies and celebrity judges got up to at the Mecca Star Auditions and take part in the fun and games of our first ever Mecca Star Singing Talent competition.

Claire Sweeney is best known for playing the role of Lindsey Corkhill on Channel 4 soap Brookside as well as being a contestant on the first ever series of Celebrity Big Brother. Claire rose to fame in the West End with the help of her stunning voice and has played the lead in high profile musicals such as Guys and Dolls - alongside the legendary Patrick Swayze!

Best known as a member of chart-topping boy band Blue, Duncan James is a talented entertainer. He played Ryan Knight in Hollyoaks and has also competed in the popular Dancing on Ice show. Duncan is a West End performer too and has earned praise for lead roles in big productions like Chicago. He will soon be treading the boards as Frank-n-Furter in special performances of Rocky Horror Show.

Filled with boyish charm, Ben Haenow won Season 11 of The X Factor in 2014 and his debut single, ‘Something I Need’ became an instant hit as the 2014 Christmas number 1. Ben also released his self-titled debut album in November 2015, preceded by the single "Second Hand Heart" which is a duet with the powerful voice of Kelly Clarkson. Ben’s latest album, ‘Alive’ was released in 2018.

Considered the Lois Lane of the TV journalism world, Susan Hill writes a column for Daily Star Sunday. She’s also a feature writer for the Daily Star and is often seen on daytime TV giving viewers the lowdown on various soap storylines. Always brushing shoulders with celebs, Susan has met enough talent in her time to recognise the next Mecca Star!
